By using ThumbGrab you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the service is

ThumbGrab is a free utility that helps you locate and save thumbnail images that YouTube already serves publicly. The site does not host, store, cache or redistribute those images, does not require an account, and does not circumvent any technical protection measure. Requests for images go from your browser to Google's image servers directly.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for what you do with any file you obtain through this site. Thumbnails are protected by copyright and belong to the people who created and uploaded them. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes, and in particular not to:

• republish, distribute or sell another person's thumbnail as though it were your own work;
• use a thumbnail in a way that infringes copyright, trade mark rights or a person's likeness rights;
• use the service in a way that breaches YouTube's own terms of service;
• attempt to overload, scrape at scale, disrupt or reverse engineer the site;
• present the service as your own or resell access to it.

No affiliation

ThumbGrab is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to YouTube, Google LLC or any of their subsidiaries. YouTube is a trade mark of Google LLC. All trade marks and images referenced remain the property of their respective owners.

Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge and is offered as-is. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. Because the tool depends on YouTube's public image endpoints, changes on Google's side can affect or break it without warning.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or non-infringement. Guides on this site are general information and are not legal, financial or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThumbGrab and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of data, revenue or profits, or from any claim brought against you in connection with material you obtained through the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify ThumbGrab against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms or of any third party's rights.

Third-party links and advertising

The site links to external pages and displays third-party advertising. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Advertising is subject to the privacy policy.

Copyright complaints

We do not host thumbnails, so in most cases the correct route is a request to YouTube. If you nonetheless believe this site is involved in an infringement of your rights, write to hello@thumbgrab.art with the specific URL, a description of the material and your contact details, and we will respond promptly.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
